Title: Registered Dental Hygienist
Description: Seguin Smiles PLLC, the private practice of Dr. Janice Weinman, is looking for a professional, mature, gentle, and highly knowledgeable full-time dental hygienist to join our TEAM! This is a PRIVATE PRACTICE, not corporately owned. At Seguin Smiles, we value quality care over quantity—you’ll have the time you need with each patient to build relationships and provide thorough, personalized care. Our practice is high-caring, family-focused, and committed to the latest advancements in dentistry.
We are ideally seeking a full-time hygienist (Monday–Friday), but may consider part-time availability if the right candidate applies.
The ideal candidate must have a strong perio background, excellent clinical, written, and verbal communication skills, and be confident using the latest dental technology.
Office Hours
Monday–Thursday: 8:00am–5:00pm
Friday: 8:00am–4:00pm
Duties
* Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth
* Take and assess dental radiographs
* Evaluate patients’ oral health and provide treatment recommendations
* Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
* Administer nitrous oxide and perform LASER therapy as needed
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using Eaglesoft
* Follow infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique during procedures
* Assist the dentist with various procedures as needed
Requirements
* Valid Dental Hygiene license in Texas
* Strong knowledge of perio treatment and oral-systemic health
* Knowledge of medical records management and HIPAA compliance
* Familiarity with dental software systems (Eaglesoft preferred)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
