We are a privately owned, multi-specialty dental practice with over 30 years serving the San Antonio community. Our team of three doctors provides general dentistry, orthodontics, and clear aligner therapy across 13 operatories — including 8 dedicated hygiene ops. We use CareStack, a modern cloud-based practice management system, and take pride in delivering a patient experience that is both high quality and genuinely welcoming.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled, caring RDH who takes pride in their clinical work and genuinely enjoys building lasting relationships with patients. You'll work in a well-equipped, supportive environment with strong doctor collaboration and a team that values your contribution.
Responsibilities
● Perform thorough prophylaxis and periodontal assessments
● Apply fluoride varnish and dental sealants as indicated
● Deliver scaling and root planing for qualifying quadrants
● Perform full-mouth scaling for generalized gingival inflammation
● Administer subgingival irrigation per quadrant as an adjunct to perio therapy
● Place Arestin following SRP when indicated
● Support Curodont/hydroxyapatite remineralization treatment as directed
● Assist with orthodontic/clear aligner hygiene appointments as needed
● Administer nitrous oxide/anxiolysis — local anesthesia certification a plus
● Take and review radiographs; document findings accurately in CareStack
● Educate patients on home care, treatment needs, and preventive strategies
● Identify areas of concern and communicate findings to the doctor
● Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked operatory
● Adhere to all OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control protocols
● Collaborate with front desk and clinical team to ensure smooth patient flow
Qualifications
Required
● Active Texas RDH license in good standing
● Current CPR/BLS certification
● Strong clinical skills and attention to detail
● Professional, friendly communication with patients and team
● Comfortable working in cloud-based practice management software
A Plus for the Following
● Experience with CareStack or similar cloud-based software
● Local anesthesia certification
● Hygiene training or continuing education through a dental consultancy (e.g., TTI, ToPS, Breakaway Practice, The Scheduling Institute, or similar)
● Bilingual (English/Spanish)
