Title: Dental Assistant

Description: Every Smile Tells a Story: Since 2000, the St. David's Foundation Dental Program has provided free dental care to children attending Title I elementary schools in Central Texas (Bastrop, Hays, Caldwell, Travis, and Williamson counties).

Job Purpose: The Dental Assistant supports Dentists and Dental Hygienists in providing dental care to patients at various clinic sites, in a manner consistent with St. David's Foundation's commitment to high-quality care. The daily location of the Dental Assistant may fluctuate based on the needs of the Dental Program.

What You'll Do:
Travel to local schools and community sites as part of our mobile dental team, bringing care directly to children throughout Central Texas.
Educate patients on healthy oral hygiene practices and the importance of preventive dental care.
Prepare treatment operatories and assist Dentists and Dental Hygienists in delivering high-quality preventive and restorative dental services.
Welcome and support patients, helping them feel comfortable and at ease throughout their dental visit.
Collaborate with a compassionate, patient-centered team dedicated to providing exceptional care and improving health outcomes for patients.

Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Currently a Registered Dental Assistant, licensed in the State of Texas.
Passion for working with children and public health.
CPR, OSHA, Infection Control, and Dental Radiology Certification.
Willingness and ability to work in small and tight physical spaces.
