Title: Dental Assistant (RDA)

Description: This position requires an experienced Dental Assistant who is skilled in assisting the dentist during procedures, has experience working with pediatric patients, is familiar with Dentrix software, can manage medical records, perform dental receptionist duties, conduct patient assessments, and take X-rays. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, organizational abilities, and the ability to work well in a team environment.

Duties:

– Assist the dentist during dental procedures
– Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
– Take and develop dental X-rays
– Provide chairside assistance to the dentist or hygienist during procedures
– Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
– Maintain and update patient medical documentation
– Conduct patient assessments and record vital signs

Skills:

– Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and procedures
– Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and procedures
– Familiarity with medical records management systems
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
– Ability to work well in a team environment
– Knowledge of dental receptionist duties, including appointment scheduling and insurance verification
– Proficiency in taking dental X-rays and interpreting medical imaging results
