Title: RDA

Description: Mission Oral Surgery and Implant Center, the office of Justin Olsen DDS, is accepting applications for motivated individuals with a great attitude, strong work ethic and an interest in learning, MUST be experienced surgical assistant. The ideal candidate will be friendly and enjoy dealing with the public. Knowledge of common surgical procedures is a must such as 3rd molar removal, biopsies and implant procedures with patients who are under anesthesia. We are looking for someone who can order supplies, is familiar with taking CT x-rays and keeping detailed surgical notes during consultations. We are looking for someone who is RDA Certified
Responsibilities
Assist the surgeon during various procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following infection control protocols.
Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information as necessary.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety standards.
Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed, including answering phones and greeting patients.
Monitor and record vital signs of patients before procedures.
Utilize 3D scanning technology for dental impressions when required.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
Qualifications
Teachable, coachable attitude, ready to learn each day.
Strong communication skills, friendly interactions with patients
Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control practices in a dental setting.
Familiarity with medical records management systems.
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
Understanding of dental anatomy and procedures is highly desirable.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Ability to assist in various clinical tasks, including taking vital signs.
Experience with dental receptionist duties is a plus.
